hey have question I can't figure out where else I might ask, so if one was attempting to draw a character with eyes that are supposed to look sort of.....like, iridescent silvery-green, sorta metallic and shimmery and....sort of similar in appearance to the blue shimmery paint in this picture, except green how might one go about making that a Thing in a drawing like, what do
oh right yes I.....pretty much only do like. digital art I mostly use SAI, but yeah I. digital art? does that count as a medium, I'm not sure what else to say I use
Ok, I don't have SAI so I don't know how helpful this will be, but there's a few ways you could do it in rough order of complexity option 1: find image of shimmery paint, use hue/value/saturation to tone it green, cut and paste into image (terrible quality, but you get the idea) option 2: if you can generate noise in SAI, use several layers of noise with different transparency and blending modes over a green background. you'll probably need to experiment a bit to get it to look the way you want option 3: paint mask the area out with selections and use a loose, pixelly airbrush brush to paint it in. this will give you the most colour control. then use a soft brush on multiply or overlay to add shading without losing the sparkle
