After several days and many, many dollars worth of addons, I have completed a model that I Like, usable as a base for Many Things. Now I just need to, y'know, rig it. But I've got a Pretty Good (TM) rig already made, which I can use. Or I could make a new one, if I hate myself. Also, Retopoflow is love, Retopoflow is life. Spoiler: Big
I have a problem. I know this is tiefling!Kravitz, but I forget if it's my own design or if I crimped it from someone else and sketched it as an idea to work off of. Anyone seen this Kravitz anywhere?
So, in further Blender news, I've been messing around with ToonKit. It's pretty cool, and lets you do neat things rather quickly, since I've never really been good with 'realism' anyways. Unfortunately, it's made in the Open Shader Language, which means all rendering has to be run on the CPU, and it's... kind of unstable. Okay, really unstable. Making the new materials took about thirty minutes, and I think I got an overall better picture, without too much work. The trouble is... okay, it's a lot unstable. I probably spent more time reloading after a CTD/BSOD than actually working. Getting it to render took about six attempts. Old Images, for comparison.
I recently came back to an old drawing and added some color. It's the first time I feel like I've actually gotten something resembling a dirty-blonde hair color. I worked really hard on the proportions but I still think her head is maybe a little too big, even for a somewhat young teen, and I kinda think her neck is too long, too. Still feeling rather proud, despite these issues.
