trying out clip studio pro again. ive had it for ages but get so overwhelmed/frustrated with learning new programs i never got very far. this turned out better than i anticipated, but still nowhere near where i want it to be. learning curve has been approached thoroughly.
Heck yeah. It's a good program, and very customizable so if you were used to using another program you can change the tools, the shortcuts or the layout to be closer to what you're used to. And from me here's another fakeCryptid!Batfam gift art, this time for Two Sides of a Coin (You Can't Have One Without the Other) by Nation_Ustria I'm working on one for The Cape that wears a Cowl by Aricliara next, but I expect it to take a while.
Agree. Pretty. I did that tumblr egg photo redraw. And I have some new art I've gotta name. Any suggestions?
I haven't decided yet! I know for sure I want a Scraggy, but not just a copy of his game/show art style. I tried leaning towards the 'monster' part of pocket monster, but I may play around with a more punk style or realistic lizard situation a bit more. Such a good lil man
not happy with how the lighting turned out but by the time i reached that point i was already so tired of the entire drawing i wanted to throw it out ://// better done than gone at least.
Also posted to Tumblr, having fun experimenting with color tonight. Acrylic painting, with a light yellow-green as the base for the sunset, letting me emphasize the blue, white, yellow/orange of the sky and put extra purples and oranges along with the blue-greens of the ground, water, road. Didn't make the pavement vs sides of the road quite as clear as I'd like, and the oncoming headlights blend with the stripes of the middle of the road and contast with the blue reflection a little too much... but I like the overall effect too much to want to mess with it further.
I've probably almost certainly have posted this before, but I was looking through old photos on my phone and found this classic: Spoiler: Big img Still one of my faves
Did a couple of memes. 5 minute artist meme, And the Peach/Toadstool NES redraw challenge. Spoiler: Original
Does anyone have a sleep beast, or am I just weird? Ive struggled with sleep my whole life, and have found pretending to be a little guy in a nest helps me fall asleep. It varies, but I decided to draw an approximation of it: Spoiler: Big img A furry, but only at night??? Is that how this works
I love the colours you use, and how separate/distinct they are. The use of white space and all. I added another fanart of fanfic piece to my Cryptid Batmens series on AO3 https://archiveofourown.org/works/55733281?view_full_work=true334333eee And I've been watching a lot of Pokemon redesign videos, and it seems like a lot of people redesign Aromatisse but in my opinion they do not do a very good job of it. They talk about how it does not do a good job of conveying its inspirations (scent, perfume bottles, cancan and flaminco dancers, france, plague doctors) and only ending up with "girly, feathery, pink" [apparently the ear fluffs are supposed to be stink lines??] but then they only tweak the design a little bit, usually to make it more attractive or less fat or the design as a whole being more coherent, and do not actually make the inspirations any more apparent. So I went full bore and ignored the current design in order to rebuild her from the ground up. Fiddling around with line vs shape in the colouring of this Nepeta sketch I've had for ages. And a piece referenced from a photo of our dog Angus for my Mom's birthday. I do not like how his face came out but that's more due to the bad cut he had at the time. I had intended to change it but never got around to it. Also I've gotten in contact with someone who has a shop in town and wants to put a bunch of artists' work up for consignment. Space is $50/month and hangout and craft permission is $20, which is scary since I only have $100 discretionary income a month, but it's a good opportunity and I'm going to try to go for it!!
