(sorry if this turns out huge) another pic of my mutants and masterminds character, in dead tree format this time :) marker and colored pencil
Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but for you digital artists out there, what program do you draw in? I'm on a Mac, and I've got photoshop, but I'd like to try a program with a stabilizing feature. Any suggestions?
FireAlpaca is pretty great for sketching and it has a stabilizer. You should look around though, I've never quite been able to get into painting with it and I can't use GIMP for sketching, which I was using for a while and did actually get into painting with, because GIMP doesn't have an anti-aliased fill tool. GIMP is a pretty decent Photoshop competitor in a lot of other ways, just not that one.
I use paint tool Sai! I also fiddle around a teeny bit with Krita, Mypaint, and Gimp mostly I use gimp to edit my pixel art, because it's a+ for pixels.
sai doesnt work on macs, is the problem 8( mypaint is a pretty solid free (free? i think its free, i got it for free anyways, if i still have the .exe file and ur interested u can have it) program too, tho there are some constraints wrt the fact that theres no such thing as canvas size :p
It is absolutely free, the newer versions allow you to crop and pain in a certain area instead of having infinite canvas!
omfg i just needed to add that my current version of mypaint is 0.9.1 the most recent version.....is 1.2.0 :""""D im hype for an update.....!
