I was feling depressed, so I decided to sketch my gemsona Spoiler: IT'S THE EYE OF THE TIGER IT'S THE THRILL OF THE FIGHT Some notes about design: -Tiger's eye is in the quartz family so I used Amethyst and Jasper as references -Also tried using my own body as a reference (that's why she LEGGY) -I got really lucky trying to draw one fist so when I totally bombed the other I said "screw it, it's just a sketch" mirrored it, and tried to do some minor edits. No shame. -outfit: dress, belt, leggings/pants, boots. tried to make a geometric broken diamond/triangle motif on the dress. -gave her lots of stripes with various shades of brown/gold. I wasn't going to at first, but then I figures that would make sense since it's a very stripey gem -fluffy hair and bangs are shaped like bell curves. -still undecided on a gem weapon. I'm torn between something that makes sense (like a visor that doubles as eye protection and also has some kind of radar or analytical function like the scouters in DBZ) and whatever would be horrifying for someone to pull out of their eye like a rapier.
I decided to try a different coloring/semi-painterly style and I like how it turned out? Spoiler: Pretty big sorry
