So, I threatened to make Sonic characters, and then for some reason I followed through. I don't know anything about Sonic. Here's Private Daisy and Private Duke. Daisy is very concerned with appearances and being a Proper Soldier, but is generally kind of dopey and easily distracted. Duke is v chill and has the laxest discipline but is an effortlessly stellar solider when it gets down to brass tacks, and Daisy is so fucking jealous. But she's also certain that Duke is mad jealous of her rockin abs, so she has that on him at least. I don't know if rockin abs are Sonic kosher, so I didn't draw them, but trust me, she's got them.

a specific sketch marker brush i use on Sai! what i do is i make the sketch, clean up the guides like circles and stuff. copy the sketch layer and merge the two to get darker lines. then clean up again tadah, now you have slightly smooth lines. i drew those with my sai stabilizer at 9
...I had no clue what sai stabilizer was until now and I'm going to go try that immediately edit: WHAT THE FUCK THIS IS AMAZING
I made my tablet actually work like it should. Clearly, this warranted me rewarding myself by doodling a shitty lovekid OC.
I started working on this probably around 5:30 and worked till midnight. It was gonna have backgrounds but I just couldn't do it. (And I did take a supper break, but still) It's a wordless comic for a school project, that is supposed to kinda be an epilogue to the book I read this month. Spoiler: My epilogue story: The five friends take an airplane back form Holland, where they had been during the book. They get back to their college. They decide to send a parcel to their mentor, telling her about their trip, so they the write the letter. Seal the letter. Buy the tulip bulb. (Tulips, holland, related) Package them together. Send them in the mail And then the parcel awaits their mentor in the mailbox.
