Thank mew! I found out that a dark reddish purple pencil is great for creating the dark shadows in the brown. Was a happy accident, the purple pencil looks almost identical to the darkest brown. (Also I love your orcs in general, and on the one above I love the teefs)
'nother food witch. Their name is Oren and they're an orange juice witch who works as a doctor. They're teaching Minty the ropes of healing magic.
Spoiler: tw: orlando so uh. yeah. This was originally going to be Generic Person with pride flag hair but it turned into more of a self portrait sort of thing? Though without glasses. Hands are hard, but this is kind of my feeling ish (minus any real prayer) about this tragedy. or what i tell myself when some bigoted lady says Oh I Never Was Against Gay Marriage Just Pro Constitution!!!!!.
More practicing lineless things! And textiles omg - when I started the sketch I was basically like "how can I make this Hard Challenge Mode" and decided to preserve the argyle pattern rather than my original plan of transforming it to a plain sweater.
*rants for a year about the horns* I just had to decide to make them antler-like, and then try to do them without a reference image. Freehanding a backwards leaning curve and forward hooking droptines sucks. >_< Spoiler: Sketch- headshot and figure Aaaaaaaaaaaand the colored headshot! I was pretty happy with the sketch and was terrified of ruining it when I colored, but it... mostly turned out? Shading in color is definitely still a learning process. Spoiler: Now In Color!
ok @Anomal(eee) insisted I post this 3min doodle I did of her fantroll as a grub. it is not much in skill, but it is p full of cute.
I was trying realism stuff at concerts, cause it helps me keep my hands busy also a recent painting and a silly drawing thrown in Spoiler: realism (and a silly drawing) shitty picture a dude who was preforming at the same concert as Kaylotta my sister! SHe should holding a flute but haha fuck that modeled after her while she was playing in her band concert! (the chest under her arm isnt erased completely cause I was damn proud of how that tie looked perspective wise.) this one isnt supposed to be realistic, I found out what my sister's boyfriend's last name was, so I logially thought about sister with his last name, and decided it sounded like a detective name, for a detective book. cue drawing the cover. (cut out names except for ones overlapping the drawing. oh well there are plenty of grossman's out there) Spoiler: recent painting on cardboard!
So since we have no dedicated painting thread, I aks the painter people what do but in all seriousness I have decided to paint my mother a landscape painting of our backyard, because our trees are un healthy and will have to be cut down eventually so I will preserve it and hopefully it will look good I am very fucking anxious about it looking like shit I have options on places to paint I have taken pictures for each framing option (I will be painting from life instead of these pictures, for non twilight colours. positioning is what im asking about. the shitty lighting in the pics is not im,portant) Spoiler: putting these under spoiler cause big option 1: option2: option 3: option 4: (pre existing framing from her window) taggin @Valerian and @wixbloom cause you do painting i think? edit: shoved pics under spoiler. also I'm leaning towards 1 or 2
1 - shift to the left just a little so you can rotate to the right just a little and still keep that big tree on the left in the scene.
I might do about that but from 2 and move left to have it in shot.. idk yet. still open to ideas from other people :)
@Imoyram You might want to do the view from her window just for nostalgia's sake, maybe angling a bit more leftward. Compositionally, though, I agree that you'd probably want to go with 1.
