What the shit my game keeps CTDing?

Starting with Sitara, she´s a modern day Heterodyne who is living in america. She´s probably not the heir to the title. Unusually level headed Art spark. (Sparks are a play on the mad scientist trope, geniuses who can make the laws of nature their bitch, but can sometimes forget little things like pants and ethics. They come in flavors art (not yet seen in canon) and science which is well, mad scientist.)

Wrench is a jägermonster, but a very young one. In fact, Sitara was the one who changed him. She had translate the jägertroth from German or Romanian and even then it sounded pretty archaic (Since it´s been around for centuries) Wrench reformulated it to mean what he actually means with that, which is why the first English version of the jägertroth wound up sounding rather informal and irreverent. (But like fuck is he going to say some old fashioned bullshit he doesn´t actually mean. (The jägertroth is an oath of loyalty jägermonster swear to the Heterodyne. We have no canon wording but we know it´s extensive, covering alternate dimensions and the afterlife.)
Being the only jägermonster around was kinda rough, and he wound up adopting dedsec as his pack because instincts. (Jägermonsters needing a pack and having pack instincts is kinda fanon, for full disclosure)
He would not have the typical jäger accent, but i think his pronunciation would change a bit due to sprouting fangs. he´d need to fix his mask too.

Horatio is the resident minion, pretty equally Josh and Sitara´. Which basically means the same thing as in vanilla WD2, he´s the cat herder, maybe with the addition of making sure dedsec has what it need to go where it needs to go.
(Minions are people who aren´t sparks, but have the tendency so they get caught up in a sparks enthusiasm. There seems to be an urge to help a spark in full blow spark mode and they often attach themselves to sparks. They do however still have free will and if strong willed can decide not to give in to the draw of a spark.)

Josh is an usually mild mannered major spark. Most sparks are bossy and a but full of themselves, Josh only gets bossy if he´s in full blow spark mode making something that wouldn´t work. He and Sitara are pretty unusual in that they´re two major sparks who have no interest in competing with each other. Josh also really doesn´t like the minion thing. He gets on with Horatio because he knows Horatio has a backbone and won´t just go along with whatever just because a spark wants it.

Ray lastly, is a spark who is allied with dedsec to take down Blume. He is very much an old school "I have to be the best and beat the competition" type of spark and does not Get how dedsec cooperate at all.

 

Seems CTDing is limited to one area, or possibly the money collectable in that area.

Marcus: "I'mma fuck up that big ass billboard, send a message"
Sitara: "I'm gonna fuck up !Nvite"
Wrench: "I'm gonna fuck up his social media. And his website! And [other thing I forgot]!"
Ray: "... I'm going to get another beer."

Oh no this is THAT mission. Poor Wrench. I love the quotey eyes though.

 

Wrench keeps meeting Marcus on top of buildings and literally every time all I can think of is that scene from That 70's Show with the dog and "he likes to feel tall".

 

Spoiler: human conditions dlc

FOR EVERYONE WHO CAN'T PLAY IT UNTIL NOW: this is a full playthrough of the story missions in the new DLC! It starts with Automata, then goes to Caustic Progress, and finishes off with Bad Medicine. Sometime the player does dumb shit, but it's commentaryless so you should be able to hear all of the dialogue and cutscenes without problems.

 

Lenni is such fascinating character and I'm eternally glad that they chose to bring her into the game.

 

I forgot Marcus for the GG AU, I´m sorry Marcus. You´re precious and important.
Marcus is that amazing thing, an ordinary human. A very smart, determined and charismatic one. So really, Marcus just fits into the universe with very little change. Ray thinks he´s a spark who´s hiding it or not broken through yet and can´t really believe an ordinary person could be anything above team mascot. Horatio appreciates the help cat herding. Wrench appreciates someone who can almost keep up with him. Essentially Marcus winds up acting as team anchor much as he does in canon, which Sitara appreciates. In this AU he´d also keep the sparks in check when their heads wind up a bit too far in the clouds.

Before Moonys replay, I did not realize it was Joshs vote that got Ray accepted by dedsec. Marcus brought him, but Sitara sees him as a threat and I feel like so does Wrench.

 

THAT DLC IS SO GAY

Watching the DLC LP and Marcus. Marcus you are supposed to have more sense than a concussed biscuit. Marcus don´t fuck with this guy.

 

A thought: I don´t think Wrench is actually in a street gang as well a dedsec. He´s incredibly loyal, I don´t think he´d divide his loyalties like that.
