So did the baby green not pay any attention to anything. I figured most people knew about the mother killer thing... also I guess Snads only invited people who were already on her side to the gathering, aside from Our Heroes? So that's why no one knows about the flower poison except those who have already gotten it.
Somewhere in Chel, Baliir just got a democracy boner. Also, Zala is REMARKABLY lucid for someone in the late stages of poisoning. Though I must wonder - Sarghs as military and police makes sense (that's what Quain would be better at anyways) but how does a clan like the Belds meld into the city structure? And what happens to people born in clans that don't fit their skillsets? ...actually if this leads to the slow dissolving of clan boundaries that'd be good. But it'd also require trust and cooperation between the clan leaders, so who knows... A timeskip to the fledgeling democratic empire of Chel would be cool though.
Nice dramatic entrance for Shinae, but attacking Sillice's lines seems like a great way to become Vy'chriel/Yaeminera 2.0.
I mean, "if there's a reason I'm still alive when everyone who loves me has died" fits Nishi pretty well... wasn't she the first to the tower? Look how well that ended for her and her bloodline.
And now we return to the Naal's Sewer Fun Adventure. It is hilarious that Kiel has a scent so strong and distinct that it can be followed through a SEWER and that Naal can still recognize it after everything. Even assuming glutton demons have a heightened sense of smell. Hopefully both those kids can get a bath soon.
Haha- in all serious, maybe it's less actual smell and more like faint traces of her aura that a demon like Naal can pick up on?
so, with the last few pages, snadhya and kalki being nuttier than three bags of squirrels, kiel being kinda mad, and the way shinae snapped when she merged with her taint... im thinking neither of the two tainting mechanisms is safe. one makes you implode after 25-50 years, the other puts enough demonic blue/orange morality into you that you go straight up bugfuck nuts.
Someone on the DT forums commented how Mel, now not wearing dental floss, has listened to Zhor about dressing like a pet versus dressing like a Val woman, but I disagree Some of her skimpier outfits were elaborate, this one here is very, very plain, she's basically dressed plainer than a servant. This is not a Val woman dress, and especially not one that is anywhere near Snadhya's level of fancy. You'd think the way Snad goes through her dresses (basically wearing them once and then never again from what we've seen, fucking rich bitch she is (how many dresses would that be, though. she's nine hundred years old. maybe she didn't start at once, but it'd still be several thousand dresses), she'd lend some to Mel so she doesn't have to run around so improperly for an imperial consort.
@winterykite For what it's worth, Mel's worn that outfit since her first post timeskip appearance and continued to wear it all the way to Felde- it might not be a Snads gift. http://www.drowtales.com/mainarchive.php?sid=8410
