The GI symptoms were only one time thankfully. However, because I have been basically sedentary for the past few days out of necessity my musculoskeletal issues have been playing up again. Pain in my right hip, pain in my lower back. Oh goodie!
I had another fever last night, and so I called the emergency GP service, and after a collaboration we decided that I should just make an appointment for today with my own GP. Which I did. Took some doing getting there this morning, I could really tell I am not well yet. And in the GPs room I had a pulse of 135 and an oxygen saturation of 96%. So I went home with a week long treatment of antibiotics, and when I got to the front door of the apartment I realised that I so very much needed them. I felt like dying after three flights of stairs.
Also, being in (near) tachycardia all the time is frankly exhausting. It's not so bad when I am sitting in the chair, but when I have to get up for cleaning or getting food or whatever it's a real problem :(
Or maybe it's my shallow quick breathing that's the problem... Ugh. I can't wait for the 24 hours after starting AB to be up (that's when they're supposed to start to work)
Augmentin is a miracle drug, I feel so much better. Though the coughing is still going on, and that's a bit maddening.
Today was the best day so far :) My parents were here to help me deal with all the devastation being ill for the better part of a week wreaks on your schedule and your home. My mum folded all my laundry, and hung two loads of new laundry, and she did the dishes. Then we went grocery shopping, had lunch and cooked two pans of food so that that is something I don't have to worry about this week. She also hand-hemmed a pair of my trousers. My parents are seriously the best :D
