Both is good. And she can probably get some more general infiltration skills off Spinel.

 

Gold's specialty is clearly gonna be tech
Rose's specialty...she'll probably just be a fighter once she learns to summon her weapon.

 

Lavender is gonna be a fighter but i think her real specialty is weapons nerding.
she Knows A Lot about crowdcontrol/spray&pray type weapons used by homeworld. Because her special interest is Big Fuckoff Cannons.

 

She'll enjoy the prototypes Spinel's packing, then.

 

Rose probably knows a lot about what items are valuable for selling or parts--Almandine probably had her keep watch on the collection of crap Almandine had, and had her take the things she was selling and sell them for Almandine, so Rose learned a lot about what could be sold for parts or value.

I have no idea what's in the case, tbh, I figured that was something we could have fun with down the road.

 

I'M GONNA DO IT

but basically I had the idea to make my gemsona me: the gem because I have a really, really hard time accepting my body and I figured that might help because SU has so many body types and nobody ever sees them as ugly or wrong. I came to the realization the other day that I spent a good amount of time during my childhood with people bullying me and thinking I was fat because I was built like a brick and even when I wasn't fat other kids looked like twigs by comparison. I grew up to be average sized but still have a big frame with broad shoulders and have been described as barrel chested because my ribcage is fuckin' huge and give me a pixie cut baggy clothes and I pass as male ridiculously easy and I wish I could transfer this qualities to all the trans men of the world.

I used to hate my body for not looking like a skinny little waif but now I'm just like "fuck yes I am a quartz that is awesome Rose Quartz and Amethyst and Jasper are some of the most attractive characters." which is excellent because my favorite rock/the one I picked as my gem for a gemsona is tiger's eye quartz. Now I have to.... actually come up with a backstory and personality x_x

I already have a soundtrack of several songs though, because I have my priorities straight when it comes to making SU characters.

Spoiler: spoiler alert: they are all songs by tipper because I have a secret weakness for trip hop
