Can corrupted gems even fuse? (Can they consent to fusion??)

....I have a strong and sudden urge to write something where they get caught on a mission rescuing other Gems on Homeworld or something and someone calls Gold an object (and everyone expects her to just go along with it, because this is Gold, she's never shown any sign of not considering herself an object), and Gold just freaks out on them and screams that she's not an object and whips out her weapon and beats them into the ground.

 

....and I so want it to be the first time she actually summons her weapon.
like, the first time she summons her weapon is when she's just so full of rage that she just has to do something. so she summons her weapon and beats up the Gem who dared call her an object.

Meet Druzy Quartz! She's both rare and not - not rare in that she was intended to be a Milky Quartz with Smoke inclusions, rare in that it's unusual for an injector to actually work on crystals too small to theoretically gain sentience.

Spoiler: she's literally a clusterfuck

The result was that her 'gem' is actually a small half-geode dent in her chest, and she's has a slight case of multiple personality a little. (She NORMALLY speaks with The Voice Of Legion, put it that way). People assume that she's a really polymix fusion, and she's quick to go 'NoPe, JuSt Me!! :D'. She's generally cheerful, and she has some small ability with psychic mineral manipulation and identification - she would have been really useful for scouting out new Kindergardens if her mining-supervisors hadn't gone 'OKAY NO WTF IS THAT' and made her scuttle for her life the instant she emerged.

I think she would love art and being an artist, like 'OMG THAT'S SO PRETTY WHAT'S IT FOR' 'to look pretty' 'OMG THAT'S AMAZING I WANT FIFTY'. In the rebellion she would probs love painting banners and making flags and things - her mineral identification and the fact she has fish-bowl lense vision like a bird or ungulate means she's easily drawn to the shiny.

tl;dr, she's super mutated and only slightly less insane than the deliberate Uber-Cluster but very happy to see beauty in the breakdown, and about the only things about her that came out 'normal' Quartz are her height and amount of hair XDD
