Hey, does anyone know any other comics where Miles Morales plays a large part in things? I just finished the Ultimate Comics Spider-Man 2011 series and I need more of him because he is a delight
http://marvelcrossovers.blogspot.com/ this site looks to be an amazing resource for anyone confused by the chaos of hero comics, e.g. me. i happened across it because i'm on a venom kick lately, and specifially i heard venom and eddie officially got married and wanted to confirm; i don't actually want to read the whole 30-year journey of venom from evil clothing to eddie brock's space husband, but if i did, this site has me covered.
you know what no one ever thinks of, in fic or in canon? the fact that as soon as humanity learned that asgard and the other realms full of human-looking aliens existed, they would've been The Big Thing, and the topic of movies, tv shows, books, video games, comics, halloween costumes, themed restaurants, and culturally insensitive porn all over the world. move over dinosaurs, now all the kids are excited about bilgesnipes! adorable cartoon bilgesnipe backpacks! thor's reaction when presented with a toddler in a bilgesnipe onesie: priceless.
i spent much of today reading batfamily fics, and i enjoyed them, but now i'm reading avengers and dang it's a relief to be back in a world where they don't play catch-and-release with terrorists.
the greatest thing about reading avengers fic is spending time in a world where there are consequences for filling the white house with nazis
https://www.dailydot.com/parsec/avengers-endgame-heteronormative-steve-bucky/ i have not seen endgame and this is why. has anyone yet written a fic that redoes the movie how it should've been?
is there even any indication he rescues the bucky of that timeline? or does he just settle down for the picket fence life while that timeline's bucky is being tortured? i feel like these writers REALLY panicked over the concept of stucky shippers existing. :/
Spoiler: Endgame The time travel in the movie is inconsistent. They definitely changed events in the past, but that doesn't appear to affect their present, so it might be an alternate timeline thing. However, old Steve is there at the end, indicating that when he went back, he went back to the past of the alpha timeline. In other words, it's entirely unclear whether Steve could have saved Bucky in the past, but there is no indication that he tried. In happier news, I enjoyed the new Spiderman. Maybe there was a bit much in the way of teenage romance shenanigans, but that's Tom Holland's Spiderman, I guess. Spoiler I love that the Daily Bugle is now a fringe internet news site. Also the reference to the 616 continuity.
