This sounds neat as hell, I just saw this a minute ago and I'm already hyped "Why the name? The stars are dying. The stars are the Judgements: the inventors, arbiters and enforcers of the universe’s laws – but a revolution has begun, and the stars are being murdered."
I am playing this but I am paranoid about doing things because what if I fuck up or waste all my resources. WHAT. IF.
I haven't found a way to permanently mess anything up. Worst thing so far is letting my Scandal get too high and getting exiled to the tomb colonies until I'd done enough stuff to be able to return from disgrace. You can't even really die afaik Most items are fairly common or can be made by using common items
Ok. I am not sure if that will entirely kill the nerves because paranoia is dumb and it's why I never use elixirs in Final Fantasy. But at least I know I maybe can't permanently fuck myself.
It's really hard to mess things up permanently in FL except for seeking. I don't know how far along you are but as soon as you get to POSI you unlock easy ways to grind all the common items.
You can also check out the wiki for FL to see what any given thing might be used for, so you know how safe it is to sell things. (If you don't mind the spoilers, anyway.)
off the top of my head, relics aren't used for much besides selling, and glim and rostygold are such common items that selling them isn't usually a problem because you can earn it back quickly for the stuff you need to spend it on eta: not third city relics, though, those make another item. went back to check the wiki, and second and fourth city relics are the sellable ones
Did someone say Fallen London You can find my characters at haemoheretic (the Chiropteric Canon) and mycelialmilitia (the Esculent Mercenary). HH is my main which is at endgame (half-heartedly grinding for an Overgoat), and MM is my alt which is now Seeking. Also yeah, as long as you don't Seek the Name it's basically impossible to fuck up beyond repair. Worst that will happen is that you might be set back a bit.
does anyone else have the zubmariner dlc? I want to try it out so bad since I got it already from buying early access, but I played a little and my laptop has not miraculously become able to handle the game in the months that I've ignored Sunless Sea, poor thing was close to melting just from going through the new game setup I just want to see the cool underwater shit, why must technology fail me eta: also apparently Sunless Sea is on a pretty good discount for a few days, so if anyone is interested but doesn't have it, get on that
I've got it! Buuuuut I had to go do Adult Things before I actually got to go underwater lmao. I will report back tomorrow!
I have the Zubmariner DLC! I am so pumped but I was traumatized as a bb!gamer by Ecco the Dolphin. I watched the Zubmariner trailer through my fingers. It's gonna be so great.
I have it but have only briefly been underwater. For some reason a lot of people want passage to specific underwater places. Idek where all these passengers are staying for the 40 years it's taking me to find their destination Also they changed the zee-bat notification aND I HATE IT
the best I can manage is 5-ish minute bursts of playing before having to let my computer cool down which is a mess, but I don't want to just watch an lp. at this rate, I'll never get to do any cannibalism
I have Zubmariner. Got attacked by a very angry zub-zee-monster the moment I dived for the first time, discovered that Reef of Roses (the prettiest place after Irem, in my reckoning) looks a little terrifying underwater and found some new ports (although not the ones I was looking for). I like it. My computer doesn't overheat, but after the end-September update the game stutters a little. I think it's because of the graphics. Everything is much crisper even on the lowest setting, but when I'm in Khanate or other land-heavy place all this pretty crispness... shivers. It's kinda annoying, because my computer should be within requirements, even if it is older.
