no one likes Mai tho, so it doesn’t count

As someone who likes Mai, I think perhaps the more appropriate objection is, "This is fandom. Since when has anyone cared that there's a canon het love interest?"

Because the majority of antis, as far as I can tell, tend to be in their early to late teens or early twenties. So expecting that most of them are going to grow up and stop being assholes is actually pretty reasonable. And we have seen people who were pretty vehement antis go "wait a minute, actually this is a pretty shitty thing I'm doing here. fuck. maybe I shouldn't be doing this" and start trying to make amends for the damage they did.

Plus, Seebs is old enough to have seen the arc of "things are shitty, things get better, things get moderately more shit again, things proceed to get better than they were the first time" and has no reason to expect that the light at the end of the tunnel is actually a train.

Was it? Huh. I always assumed that it was dementia, not mental illness. But I figured that it'd have to be memory issues in order for him to demonstrate some of the behaviour he was showing.

It’s been such a long time since I saw it that I can’t address that, though I wish I could. It sounds fascinating.

and who do you think publishes anti-kink and anti-porn researches? runs these communities? organizes these events? surely not teens.

by the laws of rounding (round down if lower than 5, round up if 5 or higher), yes, actually.
and yeah, it's not teens that do that but on the other side of it, there are teens that are pro-shipping and pro-kink and pro-porn. and adults that publish pro-kink and pro-porn research and run pro-porn and pro-kink communities and organize pro-porn and pro-kink events.

    Yes.

Yeah, I only ever read the screenplay. I'd have to look it up to actually discuss anything properly, I just have a fuzzy recollection that he was turning up at his old workplace and insisting that he absolutely still worked there.

it really depends on how you divide decades. if you're just dividing them into early/late then yeah it's early, but if your division is early/mid/late then it's not.

the rvb fandom's ridiculous conspiracy theory about how rooster teeth is deliberately sabotaging the show by making it bad, not making enough merchandise for it, and not releasing it on youtube is dumb and terrible, and it makes me super anxious and i hate it.

why the fuck must the rvb fandom be Like This?

i personally love the recent rvb writing but yeah, if fans are leaving the fandom and the people in the fandom aren't liking the writing of the season, it's far more likely that the writing's bad or not the kind of stuff they like than it is than the creators are deliberately sabotaging something that makes them money.

I don't think a lot of Hiveswappers HAVE read Homestuck at all. I noticed an awful lot of headcanoners seem to be headcanoning trolls as bi or pan and talking about it in a way which suggests they don't realise that's the default on Alternia, though I'm probably reading too much into it. Still POed at the person who went "this is shit because you don't need to establish any more that Alternia is awful", because they clearly don't know what establishing IS. It was established long ago; this is remaining consistent.

Then Hiveswap probably isn't going to appeal to you in general, because I don't think it's possible to set any story in a setting already established to be awful without showing awfulness.

...rvb is one of rt’s flagship shows, along with rwby. rvb has been rt’s foremost show for like 15 years or something, they are not going to deliberately sabotage it. different writers/directors will have different ideas about the theme/characters/plot - which you as audience may or may not like - but that doesn’t make it sabotage! /O\

also rt has historically shied away from putting their original content on youtube right away, because 1) they want to encourage ppl to use the rt site, and 2) youtube has started sucking for content creators for a while now. that’s not sabotage either wtf
