Favorite AMVs!

I have a new favorite Marvel video by a long shot. It's about people who make themselves into weapons and people who are forced to become weapons and the song choice is so, so perfect. (cw: canon-typical violence)

 

that one is really good! and it's a seriously incredible critique of the military industrial complex and how marvel and the MCU glorify it

 

i mean the song is very much explicitly about how the media glorifies the army and makes it seem like a good and heroic and glorious thing, that guns are toys for children, while across the sea other children make those toys for pennies an hour, and then the kids who played with gun toys grow up to die for the glory of the gunmakers. never thought i'd see an AMV that ends with the adorable moppet standins for the kids in the audience being ominous.

Flash back to 2003. Faith/Buffy, centered on Faith. One of my favorite vids of all time because the music matches the character so well. The vocal fry on the “yeah” while she’s examining the knife in the mayor’s office sounds so much like her. The choice of footage is flawless. Her facial expressions are tragedy x100.
