I went to a conference once, on "science and technology studies" and one of the actual science guys presenting was talking about chaos theory and as he talked he was fiddling with a double pendulum (like a trapeze hung from the crossbar of another, larger trapeze so each of them is free to make a complete circle) to illustrate the different ways it can move. Tick tock. Tocky ticky. And then he paused, lifted the crossbarof the lower trapeze way, way up, and let it. go. The audience gasped in unison.

yeah, many birds are shockingly intelligent, not just parrots and corvids, quite a few kinds have the capabilities for complex problemsolving and tool usage. Personally, I welcome our new avian overlords with open arms
