i hope that when i get back on medications i can bump that up to two items! not to bum anyone out, my brain just low on horsepower lol

Playing Quests is handy in that matter, because they don't require a consistent playerbase, you can just pop in and pop out if you want.

“Mmn. Did you fire him?” When Beelzebub shook her head, Gabriel said, “I would have fired him.”

“I told him to bring them all back on Monday. After he’zz unhooked them all. I’m sure he’ll have a lovely weekend.”

Thirteen looks at him as if questioning his sanity, and then sighs and turns away, and Tenko takes the opportunity to stick his tongue out at the hero. After all, Thirteen has an unfair advantage; they’re a teacher, and would be perfectly within their rights to expel all the snot-nosed brats if they so much as look at them funny. Plus their costume is probably reinforced steel, or something; the kids would just break their teeth if they tried biting them.

(And anyway, Tenko was a teenager not long ago; he remembers his classmates all too well. He's pretty sure at least half of them were actually up-and-coming villains scoping out their future opponents.)

The fish-demon was used to Hastur’s pauses. They often disconcerted other demons, but she knew what they were about. Hastur had a bank of set responses, a repository of phrases, physical movements and facial expressions that he had learned. He identified the appropriate situations for each one - looking for physical cues, listening for key words, watching how others reacted. Then he’d let the right set of maggots to take over his brain for the duration of the expected response.

Usually this meant he was pretty seamless at stringing together a set of actions and words. It could even appear, to the uninitiated at least, like he was reacting in an almost ‘normal’ way. However, give him an unexpected situation and it was different. Deviate from a routine, do something unexpected and Hastur was lost.

Ligur had found the soul of a homeopath when they got back to Hell and had tried menacing her into telling them how to cure it. As far as he could find out, they were both incurable and often fatal, but he kept that to himself.
