I kinda wish they would release a map for Hydaelyn, because I cannot make sense of this geography. Aren't there meant to be three continents? I'm assuming the big three are Eorzea, Ilsabard and Othard... but where is/was Meracydia? Is Sharlayan part of Eorzea or Ilsabard? Why would Garlemald conquer a few cities in western Othard and then redirect everything towards Eorzea? Is the New World also considered part of Eorzea? But isn't Ilsabard like... really close and even connected to Eorzea via a land bridge? Why is that a separate continent but the New World isn't? MAPS PLOX SE. Also what server is everyone on? My main is on Faerie but I started an arcanist on Adamantoise. I feel like I made a huge mistake, I probably should've just waited for Faerie to open up to new characters again because god damn, feeling like I can't teleport without losing most of my money SUCKS. I miss having money and a chocobo :(

Ok so a while back someone ripped this image from the cutscene at the end of...3.1? i think? Where Spoiler Elidibus and the Warrior of Darkness are on the moon. We know it's not entirely accurate because it doesn't properly cover the whole world but it's a start. Spoiler: Map 1 Someone helpfully plopped the in game map on it to show where Eorzea is: Spoiler: Map 2 And here's my crude approximation of where everything else is from reading the lore book and piecing things together: Spoiler: Map 3 Some other things: The New World is in fact a separate continent from the "three great continents", and in a TERRIBLE VERY THINLY VEILED ALLUSION TO THE RELATIONSHIP W THE AMERICA'S/EUROPE some dude from Limsa """discovered""" it within recent times, and Merlwyb found a reliable route afterward which opened trade relations. The New World is where the Mamool Ja come from, so they actually waltzed across the ocean to Limsa and aren't from there originally. Up north is said to be mostly open ocean but there are several archipelagos, one of which is Sharlayan, not to be confused with Sharlayan, the colony they built in Dravania to observe Eorzea, which they should have just fucking called New Sharlayan to avoid confusion. The actual shape of Islabard is ??????????? who actually knows. Othard is apparently huge. There's a fuckton of mountains dividing the two, so apparently there's not been much contact aside from sea trade until now, not since the Allagans conquered basically everything. Edit: I should note, Koji Fox said the Lore book is written in a way that's meant to make it feel like an actual Eorzean historian wrote it, so it's subject to personal and cultural "bias" if that makes any sense...the colonialist way the New World is talked about is rather tho.

Huh. I didn't know that you could get additional cutscenes depending on who you kiss and how many times during the valentines day event. Was definitely surprised to see Baderon show up afterwards, considering the first time I did it I got treated to a bizarre and uncomfortable makeout scene between whatshisnuts and lady whatsherface.

I swear, every time I accidentally come across people blatantly ERPing in cities (why is it always in cities?), they're always Miqo'tes. What's up with that? Do people ever ERP on non-furries? Or is it like... only Miqo'te players are blatant enough to do it in public?
Miquotes are stereotyped as the Slut Race, so yeah ... I think it's mostly that players tend to be drawn to them who want to be very sexual, and thus they are the ones you generally see. For sheer number of OFFERS to play in ERP, a maxheight, maxmuscle, maxboobs Roegadyn girl seems to be the magnet though. At least Anhelia gets them constantly. As well as questions about whether she has a dick or not.
