A thought brought on by discussing random stuff with @Akiv'a Spoiler: General HW spoilers wrt dragons People love drawing fanart of Nidhogg-> Estinien and then Aymeric with Hraesvelgr horns as contrast but...esp with the lore book information, lbr, Aymeric would more closely resemble Ratatoskr in personality. She was described as curious, overly trusting, friendly...he's probably a lot like she was. Is it the blood or a coincidence of his natural charm? :p

Hm, this made me decide to look up whether there's any canon art of Ratatoskr outside of the weird stained glass looking shit shown in Hraesvalgr's flashback and I came across the First Brood picture. I'm guessing Ratatoskr is the one on the right since it has her double horns... but which one do you guys think is Bahamut? None of them seem to match, its weird. I could see either the one in the middle or the one on the very bottom, but neither match particularly well. If I had to bet though... I'd probably go for the middle one. Spoiler: for... They're labeled in the lore book, #4 is in fact Ratatoskr iirc. I think #3 is Tiamat. Bahamut is the one in the middle. It is canon that a primal's form and personality will be shaped by the summoner. Primal Bahamut is probably a conglomeration of the image all the dragons summoning had of him...and throw in all their grief and rage and you get one pissed off creature. i swear when I make my lore compliant au ra kid all of my insane experiences are going to be narrated by him in comic form "All the other DPS fell off! Even the BLM! Tell me, how the hell does a black mage manage to get pushed off Ravana Hard?" (yes that actually happened about two days ago.)
It really bothers me how hard it is to find decent fanfic for this that 1. involves the WoL in some capacity outside of being a one-off mention and 2. isn't in first or second person. I can't handle first person at all, and good second person writing seems pretty damn rare. Does anyone have any recommendations? Also, I would've thought that Haurchefant would be the guy that no one can write properly, but it actually seems to be Aymeric more often than not (and usually in a pretty extreme way, in my exp). It's kinda weird.
