Final Fantasy 14 has Kefka from FF6 as the boss of the current raid tier, and I am perpetually delighted by the fact that one of the big gimmicks of his fight is that he lies in his attack telegraphs. Sometimes they hit everywhere BUT where the big AOE marker shows up, and the only way to tell is by watching his cast animation closely. That's such an incredibly Kefka thing to do, and I am such a sucker for game-mechanical jokes like that.

 

That's such fantastic flavor and I am super in favor of it.

Okay so wait. I just made the connection that in Lion King 2 the lion chosen to replace scar (by scar personally even) was the younger sibling instead of the oldest.

Like. Why do it that way, in the original film scar and mufasa's whole beef was that scar was older and smarter and he believed that meant he should be in charge.

I get that nuka had some problems, but he still has his wits and is indeed older and somewhat smarter, so why would scar choose kovu? I feel like scar would have a lot of hangups about righting percieved wrongs against himself.

The fact that he went back on his convictions and chose the ''stronger' lion (who isn't even blood related!) To be his legacy completely baffles me.

According to the (questionably canon) tale of two brothers book, Scar is the younger sibling. I don't think it's ever explicitly stated in the movies who's younger and who's older

edit: correction; in The Lion Guard's pilot it's mentioned specifically that Scar was the younger, as it's tradition for the younger of the royal siblings to lead the lion guard; Scar lost his power as leader of the lion guard by using it for eeevilll

 

Oh, ok. I thought it was stated in the movie he was older but I guess I remembered wrong
