would anyone like to read me doing a Science
I just finished a paper on the american woodcock
I'd love to see!
(i know i'm late to that party but. AXOLITTLE.)
typo: "In Maine, woodcock tender to prefer"
missing paren: "When returning across their northern breeding range, woodcock are generally the earliest arrivers and breeders Keppie and Whiting, Jr. 2013)."
and that's all the typos i could find. sorry if you didn't want proofreading, i just happened to spot those.
thanks for letting me read it, it was informative!
eek, it's off to the graders already. although I'm surprised I did that well with words that don't get the red squiggles under them. Thank you for the compliment!
I don't really have experience with scientific papers, so I can't judge it on those merits, however I am very fond of the American Woodcock so it meets my approval there.
Scolopax minor sounds like a Transformer, which I love. I looked it up because I wanted to know if I'd seen it. I don't think I have, but this bird gets better and better with every name: "The American woodcock (Scolopax minor), sometimes colloquially referred to as the timberdoodle, the bogsucker and hokumpoke." (Wikipedia)
You forgot twitterpate, little gomer, fiddle squeak, worm sabre, wafflebird, whipperwon't, bumblebee chicken, billdad, mud needle, prairie turtle, and crazy straw, too
If you've been on Tumblr for a while, you might also know it as "that bird that goes 'BEEP' in that one video." (Or a couple of other semi-viral videos, really. They lend themselves well to memes.)
oh the PEENT bird!
Tag yourself I'm billdad
Oh I did not forget them, I didn't even know them! What a fantastic bird!
i’m bumblebee chicken
I'm a fiddle squeak posing as a crazy straw.
I vacillate between whipperwon't and worm sabre
Oh, I found this; someone filled out a fanfic bingo card for their own work. I think that's a great idea! I'd love to see anyone else's of their own stuff.
Spoiler: my half-done one under the cut
Ohhhh, this looks SUPER fun!! I’ll definitely have to make one. :D
