I gave myself an undercut a couple of weeks ago and I'm really pleased with it tbh

 

I did too. I'm hoping that now I can just point to it when I next get to a real hairdresser and say "just tidy up this, please" rather than just having them do a bob.

 

I was already growing my hair out to get to undyed territory so I could properly bleach and tone to get to some unnatural blues n purples, so I’ve just been embracing the too long and almost half roots look a bit, did put in some non-permanent dye conditioner thing my mom got But I’m so attached to getting my natural hair actually grown that having the inconsistency covers makes me nervous so imma just wash it out over time

I am starting to get tempted to cut it shorter though, I’m getting to bob length which is just too long, too femme

 

I'm going to give myself a long buzz cut one of these days

I think the reason I've been so stalled on writing is I don't actually feel ready to tackle a full hopefully-bestseller-level novel, so I'm gonna try with some short stories and simple-but-fun stuff to practise. I'm going to try creature feature horror - easy formula, lots of gory descriptions, everyone expects the characters to be too dumb to live so if I make some obvious mistake it's okay... okay, I'm kidding about that last one, but I am gonna try it.

Looking at that cover and seeing it's the second such book, I fear to imagine the places that envelope's been pushed
