Give me an ice cream with at least some parts chocolate, peanut butter, and caramel, with no nuts, and i'm happy forever

 

Salted caramel is to die for, there's a local(?) creamery that does Thai tea ice cream that is just as good as the actual tea, and you can't really go wrong with a raspberry sorbet.

There's something I've been rolling around in my head and wanted to post here. Two years ago I adopted a cat that until that point had lived about four months in an abusive home and four months in the shelter. It was a good shelter, but theres only so much they can do for each cat. She warmed up to people slowly, but she got there. Now she's the cuddliest, most loving cat I've ever owned, but even after two solid years of nothing but love and care she's still scared of people wearing boots or holding brooms.

Never abuse an animal. They'll remember it for the rest of their lives.

 

@cassikat aw, that sucks! Do you know why they did? That seems like a poor choice, it's not like the job will ever go away.

 

@Sethrial MacCoill My parents' cat Tenchi is the same way, had him for many years now and he's still skittish about feet.

 

i'm not sure why they initially removed individual licenses! now it's like....the funeral home itself has to be licensed, which is good, and to be considered a mortician/funeral director/embalmer/cremationist you have to work in a licensed funeral home as that. there's also independent certification you can get from the funeral directors' association, which is at least another level of reliability

 

Istg my moms laptop is freaking me out. It told me it was updating instead of asking, with no way to stop it, and after two hours the screen started slowly pulsing a blue background with semi sinister messages like "these updates protect you in the online world" or something with an ever present " dont turn your device off" at the bottom. Did i just sell my soul on accident.

 

It's a big dumb windows 10 update, you didn't do anything wrong. (Insert "other than not buy a Mac" joke here)

 

Ah. I still have 7 on mine and refuse to change because it works perfectly fine as it is so it was a bit creepy.

 

I installed 10 for reasons I can't remember (it was free? It looked better than 8?) and I thought it was creepy too. Works okay though, I guess. I haven't had to reinstall my tablet drivers a billion times, anyway, and that's basically all I care about.

 

Ah i wanted to try 10 but a lot of my fave games (plus the mmo I play frequently) weren't acting right with it so .. away it goes

Plus since i don't have any mobile devices the interface feels really weird on a desktop xp dun like it

 

So i googled a fakey jellyfish jelly recipe (the stuff from spongebob, not the real sea boogers) for Reasons and someone made some with unflavored gelatin and capri sun and actually that sounds exactly like what little me wouldve expected it to taste like? Except idve imagined a bit more bitter.

What are some made up dishes you all've seen or read about in media that you had distinct flavor imaginings for? Another one of mine used to be tubby custard, i always imagined vanilla pudding with hints of bublegum (gross)
