Nate was late and turned up with the beginnings of a black eye and fucked up hands. Was late bc he was talking with the cops following an Incident.

Big dude was beating on a woman. He told someone to call the calls, went over and distracted him. Dude sucker punched him for interfering. Nate broke his umbrella in half, advanced, knocked him the fuck out. Cops came, took statement, and he got to come home.

aaand now the shock’s wearing off and lotsa pain/swelling/ouch on Nate’s end.

So. Yay for helping people, ouch for the collateral damage.

 

I hope Nate will be okay.

 

he's ok! washed up, iced everything, wrapped his hand where it was a lil crunchy, no signs of concussion. Just got whacked hard and bounced back. He's gonna have an interestingly bruised cheek/side of eye for a few days tho lmfao. He's safely wrapped up in his Mind hoodie watching youtube videos and eating pickled eggs rn tho, and I babied him thoroughly with silly tumblr things when the shock initially wore off and the meds hadn't kicked in.

My only worry is it the dude turns up again ever, bc this happened at the bus stop he has to switch to on his way home from work.

im not spotting one but there likely is one. Bait Meme on image search on google brings up a ton of rad ones, including the most blindingly flashy thing that's making me giggle like a fiend even if it hurts my head. there are So Many.

I just wanted to inform everyone that A Trip To the Moon, a like 12 minute film about a bunch of french guys going to the moon, made in 1902 and considered to be the first sci-fi film ever, is on Netflix, and you should go watch it. It's got some legit special effects and sets, and is adorable in general.

Okay but seriously basically all the big cities in the south need to be city-states the way atlanta is. I can't even describe how different the mindsets and cultures are between the cites and the rural areas.

 

Anyone have that problem where people are telling you you're doing very well, but your brain takes the compliments and goes: 'They're being too nice. Something mut be wrong. Lets not believe the compliments at all'?
