Fishin' in the stream of consciousness (all-purpose, no topic chat thread)

I know 2 crochet stitches, and even when I get them right I'm still afraid I'm doing something wrong. It feels really weird to crochet after years of only knitting. I always feel very unbalanced.

 

I actually do know how to knit but I have a scarf on needles somewhere that has already taken me four years to knit and is still not done :P

I get easily distracted and my interests tend to have cycles of sorts. When I get interested in something new I only tend to spend a certain amount of time of it before I tire of it (not that I plan it that way or anything, but that is the way it tends to end up).

I would love to be able to knit better, but that would mean I'd have to invest time into it, and for some reason I am just no inclined to do that...

 

The only way I get through a knitting project is to watch TV while I do it or listen to an audiobook. I find it really hard to just sit down and only knit.

 

Same. Audiobooks and podcasts are what I listen to while knitting.

 

I've gotten so used to browsing around the internet whilst I watch or listen to other stuff that I get annoyed when I don't split my attention between both reading something and watching something. Perhaps I will try again when I don't have ten million things on my plate anymore.

 

I am watching the Fellowship of the Ring and was at the Moria scenes, and man, these dwarves do like their stairs perilous, don't they?

Okay, so I was looking around for my blanket because where did I leave it? I need to feel snuggly while I drink juice in my room! And I saw the bits of fabric I'm gonna be making a blanket out of in the near future and I was texting a guy about boob jiggles in bellydance class and... Guys. I could probably create a successful online persona where I just do crafts topless. Except I'm in school to be a teacher and if anyone ever found me doing topless crafts online to get that sweet ad revenue, I'd never hold a teaching job :(

 

@lobo The solution is to do topless crafts while wearing a mask, obviously. And to perfect a "I'm Very Disappointed In You" look to deploy if anyone so much as implies that that strange masked craftswoman was you.

 

I'll wear my Kylo Ren mask. Non-binary Kylo Ren in pants and a bra doing crafts. That's gotta hit a couple of kinks there, right?

 

Which sounds better, guys, Craftlo Ren or Kylo Craft?
