So I have a Varda (from Silmarilion...) dragon. which naturally means that she needs Starmap. Which, turns out, is actually dark enough that suddenly Firefly becomes an option, too. Look at her now and with the new genes.....
I have kind of a love/hate relationship with some of these genes, because on one hand, how the hell is having fireflies or a filigree or a starmap on you something GENETIC, what the hell, but on the other hand, this is exactly the kind of goofy IT'S COOL WHO CARES bullshit I would have been head over heels in love with as a young teen (which is my metric for something being enjoyable even if it is ridiculous). So of course I'm begrudgingly previewing most of my dragons with it and slowly admitting that yes it is pretty fucking cool. I really like what they did with the idea - the dragon itself is a constellation! also Her name just happens to be Adamant Star. I might have to do the thing.
