I feel the need to show off my beautiful stepchildren (aka 'I gave my roommate nine nocturne eggs for her birthday today and she doesn't have an account here, so') (I'm sure she'll sell some of them but no idea which yet, she hasn't had a chance to play with them in the scrying workshop so far and decide which to keep :B but she's DEFINITELY not selling the last lad, she's thrilled with him) Spoiler: behold cerulean/obsidian/spruce (and lightning eyes! I think he's the most objectively pretty of the bunch) sanddollar/hunter/chocolate. hm. Interesting? :B indigo/murk/overcast. ew murk. but the eyes are matchy aqua/smoke/emerald. potential! emerald's a hair tricky to work with but it's possible obsidian/magenta/copper. oof, that tert. still maybe workable! coral/orchid/sanddollar. iiiinteresting? nice dark eyes. plum/peacock/red. I think this one's got a lot of potential! very different colors but probably not too hard to get a pretty look out of. pear/spruce/spring. very interesting! I think this one has a lot of potential too. blood/sanguine/gloom. ONE COLOR OFF AN XXY! Man, last one of the hatching pays for all. She's reaaaally happy with his colors since she adores blood and sanguine, and gloom might be a smidge tricky to work with but it's not a dealbreaker. I love how his fire eyes practically glow against his dark primary, too <3 I'm super glad that one of my eggs gave her a kid she's so excited about~
aw man I'm excite :D any guesses as to what ('original') element the first one will be? I'm hoping for like, a mega-aquatic looking fellow to come back from the cigarette store with the Tidelord. Or Lightweaver following up on the 'imps were a Mistake' bit and bringing back 'her' ancient breed, whatever that is. And surely we'll get Gaolers eventually, but no idea if they could be the first one too. But yes I'm sure we'll get loads of lore, too! all the BotE storylets definitely have room for follow-through/continuation.

Wondering if it might be an Earth breed now owo thatd almost be perfect since the Earthshaker is the eldest deity, fitting to start off the ancient breeds with that But people are noting that the prints resemble Icewarden's feeties, too, so maybe it'll be the Gaolers after all
