Oh man you are right! I wish I could put nicknames or group friends so I can find who I want easily XD Thanks! Sent a message with treasure and the list again. Thank you!
Huh, what do you think of Stained? I think it's neat, and possibly the tert that I'll finally use for my random progen who doesn't look good with ANYTHING in his tert slot.
I like it! It's a bit expensive, and people are screeching much about it being just an Instagram filter, but I think it probably takes a lot more effort to code something like that than it does to just slap an overlay on a photo in Photoshop :P But it's so full of potential, I don't really mind! Between this and the expanded color wheel, EVERY COLOR EVER will be a thing. :P Good for unfortunate tertiaries and for unifying a dragon's primary and secondary colors (especially if there's odd irishim hues, like those green tones in Obsidian that don't work with some dragons)
Yeah, I've been looking at scrying and while it does make, like, double irishims very boring, there IS that it looks really neat with wide color ranges - I tried it with a dragon of mine that had a pink-red clown primary and a jade tert, and it looked cool and zombieish. Maybe along with poison and toxin it'll help people make dragons that are interesting color combinations!
I realise this is a long shot, but if anyone could pick up a copy of the gentle giant accent for me, I'd really appreciate it. Gotta go '_, Edit: obv im paying
Murghhhh I guess I'll pass then. I don't really care about low gen numbers I just really liked the way he looked, but that's... more than I have at the moment, and more than I think I'm willing to pay for a single dragon <XD I'm a cheapskate. STILL best of luck to you!!
Also I think Stained is kind of neat! Obvs it doesn't work on all dragons, but all genes are like that. I really like the look it gives a few of my dragons though, so it definitely has some really interesting possibilities! I just wish it was cheaper ;A;
!!! NEW TERT GENE (tfw you've made sure to sell a steady stream of old festival stuff so you always have gems :3) ... okay, this is definitely the most 'your mileage may vary' gene so far, but I am into it. A lot of color combos make the dragons look like you're seeing them through a dirty window, but others are really interesting. Some dragons end up with a subtle shading, others end up with a whole new color. It's a bonus that it seems to look best on dragons with treasure genes otherwise. I made a post of my favorite examples from my lair here. (friendly reminder that gem tert genes are always 1200 gems!)
Fun fact: white primary + shadow tertiary = thistle. Son I am disappoint. (stained looks like a gene that either gives things a sepia tone, looks disgusting, or doesn't change anything at all, and I guess if you have a godawful tert on an otherwise great dragon it's a lot better than using spines but??) Definitely not the gene for me. You know what is the gene for me? [5:14:43 AM] drug-dealing owl voice: Where the fuck are ghost and point you sons of bitches
Not really though? Caribbean tert. Mulberry tert. Mulberry looks good with damn near every color currently on the wheel, especially the soil-through-purple range she has with her mate.
Different tastes. I like neither of those, personally. If I wanted a blue dragon instead of a grey/purple one I would have gotten a blue dragon. And I suppose I should have clarified that when I said "sepia-tone" I meant "it looks like a photoshop effect" When they named the gene "screened" they really weren't lying. All the dragons look like they got a screen layer at 25-50%. Again, different tastes! I don't like the gene, but if you have a terrible tert on an otherwise pretty dragon (especially a gen1), then it likely saves it, versus getting the dragon spines and calling it a day.
