Yess hello fellow flighters. I've been playing FR for almost two years now, Raire 24178. I'll be stopping by to stalk peruse your pretty dragons when I'm less tired. I'm a low key rp lair, still trying to build my lore and make it consistent. I make and sell accents, though I'm frankly laid back about it since I don't want it to be a source of stress. I also really need to make my clan runes/banners but oh well that will be later. I'm still struggling with the perfect profile layout for my dragons so... one thing at a time!
@Ruevian very clever! I think something like... 95% of my dragons are blue/black/purple, because I like themes, so the eye matching thing hasn't been a problem for me. @Raire I love your Siamese accent/s!
@lupadracolis What a lovely Davesprite dragon! :D The crystal is wonderful. I've got one of my own: It's too bad accents can't go past the linework, or I'd push my pathetic art skills into making a sword-through-the-chest accent. No hope for a skydancer, but it's possible for a nocturne, and good enough perspective skills! (My lair is Quicksilver, 20600.)
Currently I'm plotting out a dragon inspired by Rue from princess Tutu with Dark Red Bow and Inkwell Feathers. Maybe some bleak birdskull jewelry as well...
@Mercury What a gorgeous Davesprite! I love the accent you've got on him, the swirly lines are very spritely. I'd not thought about giving him a sword-through-the-chest accent (he's been so expensive already) but hmm I think I might give drawing one a go, when I've finished my Ancestral Anthology gift exchange pic. (What gorgeous dragons! I especially love Magnanimity the smoky bantam fangar, I mean nocturne. I'm Lupadracolis, 53231.)
Thanks! :D My personal style might leave a lot to be desired but my dragon game is on point. XD I like how very very purple your lair is, and Chama really caught my eye! Her genes and colors give her the perfect 'depths of the ocean' look.
Nepeta is my only fandragon, but I've never seem apparel or accents that I think would really fit her 0n0. I used to have an Eridan, Karkat, and Terezi, but eventually I wanted more lair space and I sold them off and they've all been exalted now. Ah well.
@Mercury Purple is the aim of the game! Although apparently my most commonly used dragon colour is midnight. /shrug Chama is my baby girlllll and was in fact a present from @KathyGaele @Arxon Have you considered the blue bandanna? It works decently well as a substitute for Nepeta's hat (as modelled by my Gamzee) Ooh, and if you're into alchemising, you could give her glowing blue or glowing gold clawtips. Gamzee^ is wearing the gold ones, and I'm planning on getting them for all of my troll dragons. Just gotta get more common podid claws....
@lupadracolis oh those are both super good suggestions, thank you! Guess that means I'm heading to the mire. Edit: Also I finally got my Blackwing Hummingbird this morning! Now I just need to save up my sneks and I can get the last Swipp familiars!
i honestly don't like glimmer that much?? it looks nice on like, silvers and gold-tone type colors but for a lot of colors it just looks like a slightly shiny underbelly gene, to me x___x
Well, that is why I like it! It gives a little oomph that sometimes underbelly lacks, which makes for an even better customization >u<
Moirin has gone through at least 8 scatterscrolls I swear, but I scattered her this morning and when I saw her colors I was "I must get her glimmer." So I did! She and her new mate are gonna be my glimmer pair, although rn he still has circuit. I need to save up!
Most of the dragons I like best with glimmer are single or have mates with treasure genes I don't want to change. :') What a pain. I also like glimmer because it's subtle. Some dragons, they might as well keep underbelly for as much difference as it makes, but on others it really gives their tert a boost. I also like that it puts some of the tert color onto the horns - it doesn't work on all dragons, but the ones it does work on it's WOW. So far it seems to pop best with darker colors - the sparkle shows up better and it makes the color more vibrant. Mulberry is especially nice. *_* Ice also looks good in glimmer, it makes the color really look icy, like the dragon is rimed with frost.
Yeah, Glimmer is really cool looking! I haven't bought gems ever so I probably will not ever get the chance to use it (and if I did have Gems I would need to use them on one of my existing dragons who has been earmarked for Crystal for ages) but I can dream, right?
