and for years as a child i thought the pimentos were part of the olive lol, that's all we had growing up because my grandma liked putting them in her martinis. i personally do not buy them with pimentos if i can avoid it but i don't mind em
extremely context-dependent. maple cookies and molasses cookies are extremely different but equally delicious things. you could not pay me to put molasses on waffles or maple in shoofly pie though.
Molasses on waffles and pancakes would be my go to context, yeah. I like the bitterness and the way it soaks in, I rarely use syrup because it's all sticky (yes i do realise molasses is also sticky but its less sticky)
Burnt cookies > regular cookies Especially chocolate chip ones, the bitterness of the char on the bottoms and the added crunch goes so well with the sweet chips
Which is better, salmon sushi or tuna sushi? Feel free to argue that another option not mentioned is better, or that sushi is gross, but both of those alternatives are wrong
Salmon is sweeter than tuna and therefore is the superior sushi topping. Although admittedly I've never had prime cut tuna so I can't say how that compares.
The only sushi I've ever been able to tolerate is the sweet potato tempura a local place does. fish texture.... no......
tuna is my favorite and is what i recommend when i’m taking someone for their First Raw Fish Sushi Experience, but i will go crazy for a good salmon or crab or yellowtail or shrimp
i am 10000% a salmon girlie. tuna is good but given the choice of only one or the other it will be salmon for me every time. and i looooove salmon roe and i hate how EXPENSIVE it is now :"(
