Granny Smiths have a good firm texture (often used in baking) and are nice and tart. It can be hard to find that combination reliably in other varieties.

even Granny Smiths are getting meh. Honey crisp still pretty damn good though.

I've decided it's time for Pizza Discourse:

Let's be real, any topping on pizza is just a distraction from the true essence of what pizza is. Plain cheese pizza 4 life

I can't stand pepperoni, the worst thing about it is you can't even pick it off, its flavor infects the cheese >:C
Sausage is alright but still makes pizza slightly worse. Beef is good but not quite right, I haven't tried chicken, maybe next time i order a pizza I shall

i've never found a non-meat topping i like at all, bell peppers are the devil and pineapple on pizza is literally satan. mushrooms and onions i havent tried but they're definitely not my favorite foods on their own so i doubt they'll improve pizza

mushrooms are the only not-meat topping a pizza should have. Except onions if they are diced and added AFTER COOKING. (cooked onions are disgusting and should be tossed in the trash)

I'm just a really picky eater
Also I don't like pineapple because even if you pick it off the juices seep into the crust and taint it

Cooked onions get all nice and caramelized if done right. Mmm, hell now I just want sauteed mushrooms and onions in some scrambled egg. Top it with cheese, perfect breakfast.

... I now want to try making caramelized onions, but I have only one frying pan and I'm scared of ruining it.
Also, not only is plain cheese pizza great (especially mozzarella), it can also be vegetarian depending on the brand/kind of cheese. Yay!

A pizza I may never be able to eat again: pesto base, ham, pine nuts, tomato, mozzarella.

That's... A salad. That's like making cookie dough and then frying it. It's just... Don't.
