hotdogs are as much a sandwhich as a burrito or a taco or a wrap is a sandwich -- it's one outer piece around filling. sandwiches are two outer pieces around filling burgers, though. those are sandwiches
i usually fold my pizzas in half hefpre eating bc it's an easier (and cleaner, imo) way to get it into my mouth
Many baguette sandwiches are made with the bread not being fully sliced through, so it stays in one piece. If that's a sandwich, then so's a hot dog.
if the bun is seperate it isnt a hotdog anymore its just a wiener in some bread. could possibly fall under sausage roll
but sometimes you have a cheap hot dog bun that falls apart immediately, it doesn't magically become not a hot dog. it's just deconstructed or whatever the hipsters call it
maybe it's the intention that matters more than the reality hot dog buns aren't intended to fall apart, so even if it does it's still a hotdog.
In unrelated news, a Tumblr.txt food derail happened while I was cooking, and I feel weird contributing to the derail there now, so I want to say here: I used to sit next to the parsley plant in the back yard when I was little and just. Eat it. I was a very happy child when I learned about tabboulleh.
