That actually sounds good, though? I kind of want to try that. Plus I have never had Tabbouleh but a quick google search reveals that it looks far superior to coleslaw.
It is good, in my personal opinion. Also red cabbage juice is kinda fun to play with because it's a pH indicator, so you can put a pinch of baking soda in the pan you cooked the cabbage in when you're cleaning it and the liquid at the bottom turns blue and this amuses me Food of the gods, I tell you.
Oh yeah, I will go for some kraut any day, and cabbage has plenty of great applications when cooked. Tender spring greens are divine any time, I don't need dressing I'll just snack on them straight out of the garden. But. Raw cabbage. The only flavor it has is bitter and the texture is just :X No.
ok but why would you eat the texture hell and blegh taste of spinach when you could have the satisfying crunch of romaine lettuce
Also, speaking of. Salad Dressings: Discuss I like caesar the best, which gets me odd looks when i want caesar dressing on my garden salad but shut up it's creamy and nice and not as horrifyingly inconsistent as ranch. i love me some ranches but some ranches i hate and you never know which you're gonna get which stresses me out vinagrette is just. why. why would you make every bite of your food force you to wince
Give me all the bitter things, it is the superior flavor. You can have my salty foods, salt is revolting unless its a teeny amount. Heh, that actually reminds me of the time i bought a couple of ginger beers to work when i was a teen for lunch because it is the best kind of spicy bitter, and was sharing it with others who never had it. There was many people spitting it back out on the ground and one notable instance of a kid asking what the alcohol content was only to yell "you drink that for fun!?!" When i said it was nonalcoholic. Who the fuck is gonna bring real beer to work and give it to a bunch of minors, especially in a live in situation while on the clock you dingus? Fizzy soda is only good if you chug it, so it turns foamy texture instead. Otherwise it just feels like im melting my teeth in fizzy corn syrup XP
Honestly I don't really like salad dressings as salad dressings? Ranch is great for dipping wings in, but why would you put it on salad? Also, I generally put raspberry vinaigrette on my delicious spinach salads.
Romaine tastes weird and bitter to me, while spinach kind of... doesn't taste like anything. Salad dressing quality varies wildly, but I usually prefer vinaigrettes because I like sour.
Ranch is bad. I wish i could throw it into the sun. Kale is the best leafy green, i will fight. Hm, dressings i actually like? Uhhh it depends where its going but catalina is good, and rasberry vinegarette, and near anything labeled italian if its not creamy. Green goddess is great for dipping, and vidalia sweet onion is better for coleslaw than straight up coleslaw dressing.
Huh! I'm the exact opposite. Romaine tastes pretty much like nothing, while spinach is weird and bitter
