lavender honey goat cheese sounds so amazing i might cry on the subject of candy, dollar stores have so many weird off-brand candies watermelon twists are really good and zotz, god! zotz are supreme they have lots of weird flavors of gumballs too (like rootbeer, orange creamsicle, dr pepper, green apple) but imo the gumballs are too powerful for my weak jaw muscles
Nothing that tastes like almond flavouring is best anything. Ew marshmallows. Spilt milk. Past perfect tense, rarely used nowadays. 'Spelt' is a grain. A gluten grain that I can't eat unfortunately (there are too damned many of them). If you have a mild lactose intolerance and you can handle butter and cheese and ice cream (this is me) but you drink reduced-fat milk--which is what most people buy nowadays, the fat that is in butter, cheese and ice cream has been removed, which means you get much more lactose and hence get symptoms. I think dairy milk tastes gross by itself anyway, but when I drink coffee I always get it breve (with half and half) because soymilk doesn't do the creaming thing in coffee very well and regular milk makes me feel terribad. Half and half has MORE fat/cream than regular milk which means even less lactose than whole milk, plus the fat is what I actually want in my coffee. Naw. Maple Pecan Pie. Make a pecan pie but don't use corn syrup because it's disgusting, use real maple syrup.
Huh. That is very, very good to know, as I am thusly afflicted. I'd argue that a good Maple Pecan Pie is a Maple Sugar Pie with Bits, but honestly I would agree, the nuts add a nice balance to the sugar. I was also making a reference, because it seems like a solid tenth of everything I say or do is referencing something, in some way. Not that I expected it to be picked up, but I feel I ought to explain anyway.
Sadly, that's not a reference I'd have ever got. A truly excellent Maple Pecan Pie also frequently includes bourbon and spices.
Ugh avocados ew no. I can eat guacamole, I can eat the delicious vegan chocolate mousse someone once made with avocados but fuck no I will not eat avocado, it feels so gross in my mouth.
I won't eat them when they are spotty, no. I buy like 1 or 2 at a time because I only want to eat them when they're yellow except for a bit of green at each end but do not yet have spots.
I can enjoy bananas if they're the exact texture I'm used to, but like other fruits, they have enough variation that I tend to be very wary of them.
I remember a radio DJ once comparing the band The Cranberries to actual cranberries. It was around U.S. Thanksgiving, which often includes cranberry sauce dishes. He said it was like you got really excited every once in a while to have cranberries, and they’re really great, but after a little bit you’re like oof, okay, no more cranberries until next year. I found this analogy to be accurate with my own experience on multiple levels.
