the only Acceptable fruit skins are apples and bite-size berries (grapes, blueberries, etc), everything else feels Wrong
over here there are special Kiwifruit Spoons (or at least that's what they are in this house) that are like, a special shape of knife/spoon hybrid that is just the right size and shape for cutting a kiwifruit in half and then scooping out the inside
fuzzy skin is an important part of the Peach Experience but I don't want to eat any ime nectarines are less sour when fully ripe (some sourness, again, being a part of the Peach Experience) so all in all it makes for a pleasant fruit-eating experience. both of em were pricy as hell this summer tho. so I spent my fruit dollars on peaches I had one of these! I miss it, it was so cute and useful
I'm one of those people who judt wash the kiwi and then Chomp it. Just take a bite out of it and live with my fruit crimes
The main thing I associate with kiwis is that my mom's skin is slightly allergic to them but she's fine eating them so she always completely avoids touching kiwi when eating it
Kiwis I love but they kinda burn me like pineapple does. I have found they to make a pretty great smoothie ingredient though and yellow kiwis are kinder than the green ones
Random question/curiousity: what is your favorite French fry? Where do they come from/how do you make them if you make them yourself? I have terrible taste and my favorite is still McDonald's fries. Idk what it is they're just so good to me
Chik-fil-A waffle fries have the ideal cronch + sauce gathering capability for me, but Steak n Shake shoestring fries are my fave to shove in my mouth.
I make my own with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt/pepper, bake in oven at 400 F for half an hour. I like them because less fat and I know that the potatoes are fully peeled (i did it myself), also a nice flavor. Definitely do not compare with the texture of fried fries, but the reduction in food anxiety is worth it.
My favorite are those thin relatively-soft fries restaurants usually serve with meat here. Of course, you miss out on some of the cronch, but it somehow tastes much better anyway.
If they count, I like raw fries/pub chips the best. If not, this rib place in my hometown makes these shoestring fries that are freaking great.
Oh fuck that's so true-- I've only had rosemary fries once but they were absolutely a top-tier fry, above and beyond what I imagined fries could be.
Rosemary + potato in any combination is top tier food. One time someone cooked me roasted red potatoes in duck fat with fresh rosemary and I about died it was so good
