i used to eat a ton of raw and cooked celery, but not anymore, because hell immune system would kill me over those strings celery is good in soup. that's where it shines in cooked application. raw celery with crunchy peanut butter? divine. nice watery slightly bitter vegetable. mmm.
I think I must have the "cilantro tastes like soap" gene, because the way people describe the not-soap version of the taste doesn't sound anything like what I taste, but "soap" wouldn't even have crossed my mind. To me it tastes... maybe a little bit bitter, but mostly kind of a cool (as in cold, not as in "awesome") flavor? I wouldn't eat a plate of it (which I would for, like, parsley. Tabbouleh is the food of the gods), but it never occurred to me to dislike it.
celery raw tastes faintly of dirt and the times ive lput peanut butter on it have had a bad texture Its fine cooked tho Speaking of ants on a log, raisins are fine too except when theres grit, then my whole mouth wants to go on strike immediately
Hard disagree. If it's too hot to taste, then you're just burning your tongue and THAT'S the problem.
I saw the British version of pecan pie like three days ago and I'm still mad about it. It was like a molasses tart with approximately three nuts on top.
Chocolate egg creams (basically, chocolate milk and seltzer/soda water mixed) are good, who’s with me?
What does that taste like because I`m imagining carbonated watery chocolate milk which seems terrible.
Kinda like a milkshake, or a... chocolate soda? It’s not as bad as you’d think but the combination of carbonated water and milk is Unusual.
Adding rootbeer or cherry/vanilla coke or dr pepper to milk is good and makes it foam like a root beer float. Never had an actual egg cream tho Edit: the order is important tho, adding milk to soda i think just curdles(?) the milk. It also goes weird if you let it sit too long, And if you use an orange soda you have less time before it goes weird (u gotta drink the creamsicle beverage f a s t)
All of this drink talk is making me want an orange julius for some reason. I dont see why though, the drinks dont have any similarities between them besides milk. That chocolate egg cream sounds kinda good though, id try it at least once.
