Mutt looks through the drawers and puts on what clothes they can figure out how to wear. It takes them a while to find the stairs again, but eventually they make it downstairs for breakfast.
The little sprite from the last night flits close, then looks disappointed and slips away, cup woefully empty. Legion waves you over. "We're going to play the Cask of Amontillado! You get to the the one who hosts... we have a very special friend who's playing the bad guy." She grins hugely.
"Sherry," Mutt repeats. They don't know what that is either, but they don't want to seem like they don't know anything. "Okay. What do I have to do?"
"You take our friend downstairs, then make them sleep... and build a wall." Legion smiles. "Very easy. Promise."
Legion smiles, leaving Even to curl around Mutt's shoulders, vanishing off to collect their new friend. When Mutt has had their fill, Even directs them to head outside, to a small, broken shack nearby...
Mutt follows Even's instructions and soon ends up outside the shack. Take our friends downstairs, make them sleep, and build a wall. "Where's our friend?" Mutt asks Even.
The waifish young man inside looks as nervous as Mutt feels, clutching a cup of wine and taking shallow sips, looking between them and Legion. "I... we do this, and... and everything is okay, right?" "Mmmh-hm," Legion smiles.
She smiles. "That's right. Go on." Mutt feels something heavy drop into their pocket as Even drifts past to coil into Legion.
"...uh. J...jack. I'm. I'm afraid." He says quietly. "...everything's going to be okay, right? After this... everyone's going to forgive me?"
"That's what Legion said," Mutt reminds him. They step onto the first step and keep walking. The stairs are just wide enough that the two can walk side by side.
