"We have, like. Ten at Joanna's already, Mischa." He chomps down a forkful of noodles. "I can ask if she can get you one that's got the taxidermied hide on it?"
"Oh... no I just wanted the skull." She dips a spring roll into her wonton soup. "How about a whole rabbit??"
"You mean. Like. Intact with meat and everything? Yeah, I could get you one, like. Within a few days?"
"Sweet!! You're awesome!" She grins, "And I don't work this weekend so I'll get the fish then." She chews her wontons happily, planning the feast in her head.
"Actually... this year we're going to a friend's place for dinner on the thirty-first. It'll be really different, but.... nice I think."
"Yeah. So the usual feast for the dead plus two people." She nods. "Guy and his girlfriend. They have sooo many pets."
"Mostly chickens!" She mumbles with her mouth half full, then swallows. "So many chickens. It's been years since I've been able to snuggle a hen! They're so cute~"
"Huh. That's pretty cool. One of my friends has a bunch of chickens, too, tee bee ach." He hums. "One or two of them are actually fond of me, too, which is hella cool."
"Hah. Does everyone call at least one chicken Henrietta? I think Fred's on, like. Henrietta five or something, blessed be her lineage," Nick drawls, tipping his head back as he cleans off his plate.
"He's my friend. He comes into work all the time and brings herbs for our 'spell satchels'. Remember me talking about the guy who smells like vanilla... that's Freddie!"
