"Oh. Oh, yesterday... yeah..." She goes back to staring out the window. "I'm a fey witch now. So's Kainze. Freddie was there too... when I wrote my name on the tower. It was weird, like I was dreaming but... not dreaming... Then we were in the fountain at the mall bus stop. "We went to Freddie's afterwards and figured out that Kainze and I both have been able to sense magic for years. It's some sort of spell, I guess? Since Lou could sense it and freaked out... but." She sighs. "Oh yeah and I finally met Freddie's girlfriend, and Spot.... Kainze thought Spot was a dog until she half climbed into his lap. And then he said something stupid and pissed off Rosie and she flipped out at him."
"Fey witch? Huh. That's.... scary?" He pauses. "Well, one of my friends would say scary." He hums. He listens, then turns to stare. "He managed to get Rosie angry? Holy hell, he's been improving his trolling...."
"He wasn't even trying... he'd basically just asked how long she'd been dead for but the way it came out... well, you know him."
"I think so yeah. Part of why we're doing Samhain at Freddie's too. Kainze and I have never done the feast with anyone else before. I think... it'll be nice..."
"...yeah. I mean.... it's good to have a group. I mean.... I have a pack. It's.... really cool." He grins slightly at the steering wheel.
Nick nods. "...yeah. And apparently I've got more family than that... Miriam - you haven't met her - but anyway, she's apparently my niece and she's thirteen."
