@Choco yep, i can definitely hear jefferson in that song. and i'm tempted to trigger warn for incomplete letters, since those got my brainbugs in as much as a tizzy as the flashing did. i mean, neither of those things were triggery for me, but they both felt weird.
Crossfandom bullshit time: Every time I hear My Shot and I get to the revolutionaries' introductions, I cannot help but see the Steven Universe extended theme song in my head. That said, Garnet is Marquise de Lafayette, Pearl is John Laurens, and Amethyst is Hercules Mulligan. And Rose is George Washington. Hamilton, though the protagonist, will be played by Peridot, because can you IMAGINE. I can maybe imagine Lapis being a particularly sarcastic T Jeffs but casting honestly falls apart at this point. (and I'm still not entirely sure I shouldn't switch Garnet and Pearl though Pearl really needs Lauren's slave revolution theme and queer power)
I love the mental image of Garnet doing Guns and Ships Consider Peridot as Jefferson. Imagine her doing that "uh...france?" bit or "These are wise words enterprising men quote them/ don't act surprised you guys cause I wrote em!" Maybe Steven as Hamilton, Lapis as Burr and Connie as Eliza?
