um im calling u out??? reign of terror was not a genocide???? it was a righteous revolt against the capitalist and feudalist bourgeois?? and also started by two bisexuals so calling it a genocide is biphobic tbh?

(Writing this was mildly physically painful.

Also, for the sake of historical caution, as far as I remember we don't have any evidence that Robespierre and Saint-Just were bi or had anything beyond a deep, revolutionary friendship, but spitefully shipping it was what got me and my friend through all the numerous times we were retaught the French Revolution, so.

Also, if you ever get through American Founding Fathers and are not bored yet, may I request callouts for Robespierre and Saint-Just? Or, if they don't qualify due to unapologetic Frenchness, marquis de Lafayette, he at least was American citizen.)
