Chobee recently had an annual checkup. I’ve only ever heard the people in the videos speak Korean, so I guess I just assumed that this was all taking place in Korea. The video opens and the vet is immediately speaking American English. (Or possibly Canadian, but I’d guess the States.) So my assumptions have been revised. Not in any important way. Just thought it was interesting.

Chobee’s checkup went well even though he did not love it, and he is in good health. I’m consistently impressed by hearing just how much vets know, you know what I mean? Like, they have to be so comprehensive because most of their patients probably won’t ever see a specialist. Which, a good GP for humans can be kinda like that too, but that doesn’t make it less impressive, just opens the floor to even more people to be impressed with. Also nurses, because damn.

Anyway, here is Chobee making a variety of annoyed sounds at the vet:

Guess who FINALLY got out of his cone today!



He graces you with a blep of thanks for prayers and good wishes! He's had a pretty good first day cone free, which includes getting to groom himself, much higher quality face pets, less awkward/uncomfortable eating, and full medical permission to chase and wrestle.



He's also been super cuddly - neck scratches have been extra appreciated. He ended up needing three weeks with the cone instead of two, and I'm frankly proud of how well the three of us kept his coat in shape during that time.



My sis was a cat stack for a while this evening. And while there's not much we can do to help it along, the belly fluff (which was shaved bare on the 6th) is finally coming back to "fluffy" instead of just "velvet."
