When I adopted Cinders the rescue jokingly warned me about 'naughty torties' but I swear every tortoiseshell (NOT calico they're a different bag) I've ever met has just been sweet and silly and hyperactive.

Happy, daffy, and completely without brains or malice. Maybe a little mischief, but nowhere near enough braincells to be annoying or knivving XD

    Codeless Cheshire Cat

Lilly is definitely sweet and silly and hyperactive, but she´s also a little pest and definitely smart enough to figure out how to annoy people to get attention. She´s trouble in tortie cat form.

Lol like I said (at least in the UK) there's this rep of the 'naughty tortie' where they're Renowned for Shenanigans but like my experience is that theyre sweet dumbasses.

Actual facts: Tortoiseshell cats are probs just as likely to be smart or dumb as any other colouration of kitty XD

I've always heard of torties being extra grumpy and standoffish, which was definitely somewhat true for mine - she was very sweet when she liked to be, which was most of the time as she got older, but she liked her alone time a whole lot and had very firm boundaries that she would let you know harshly and immediately if you transgressed upon.
