Question: Does anyone else's cat have really weird food habits?

My boy won't eat cat food with beef (veal is fine, however) but his favorite things to eat are peas, lamb's lettuce, butternut squash and we have these really dense cookies in Germany called Eierplätzchen which are primarily made of eggs. He'll try to steal a bag full of those that's as big as he is...
(disclaimer: he only gets very, very minor amounts of all of those and none of the cookies)

They look so soft! We used to have a cat when I lived with my mom who ate cucumber peels.

 

My first cat (i named her "Kitty", I was 2.5 years old) loved to eat peas. I think it was Tenchi (one of my parents' cats) who wants to eat cantaloupe if it's out. Freddy, their other cat, is a very picky boy who won't eat many types of wet or dry food. For treats, he also only likes those little pink shrimp you can get at the grocery store.

 

Mitten is very picky and won't even eat many treats, let alone hoomin food, but she does like a little bit of Laughing Cow cheese triangle. Rocco used to love peas and cucumber. He would come running if you took a cucumber out of the fridge, begging for a slice. He also liked to sit at the dinner table with us - not begging for food, he just liked to sit in his own dinner chair and give the occasional sage meow. I miss him :(

 

When I was in middle school we had a cat whose previous owner claimed that she liked cantaloupe. Alas, my parents declined to give her any.

Before I knew I was celiac, my late lamented cat Tissriel (1990-2008) liked bread so much I had to keep it in the refrigerator so that she wouldn't rip open the plastic and take little bites out of the loaf. She was also very fond of eating the green leaves off the tops of strawberries.

Asterix (2005-2015) was diabetic, but was basically cured through dietary control. (It was cardiomyopathy that got him, sadly.) He did not much care for having his diet controlled, and being a very LORGE and smart cat, he learned to open the refrigerator until I caught him in it and put toddler locks on it, feeling much relieved that I hadn't actually been forgetting to put meat back in the fridge.

Asterix was also the cat who broke the toilet seat because he resented having the lid closed.
