do you have any info on which coat colors were developed first, in domestic cats? as far as I can tell there was no selective breeding for coat color (that we know of) until medieval times, and that's when tabby variations started to appear. I am not sure where to look but I'm super interested in historical coat colors and their distributions and where various colors first appeared, if you have any leads on that?
