General CAT-ter (The Beanery)

Has she been acting stressed at all? My cat usually never lies on the floor at all, but if she’s stressed out (just returned from the vet, for example) she will.

 

Problem: there are many dog parks, but are there any cat parks??

Yeah, it's been pretty hot. I'm using a towel instead of her usual chair cover and that seems to work. I only find her in the middle of the floor when the door is open to let in cool air in the evening.

 

Mine lay on the floor more in summer, i think because its just cooler.

 

It's been pretty hot in the PNW (at least where my parents are), and they report many sightings of their cats trying to make themselves at flat as possible on the floor.

Summer longcat phenomenon is referred to in our household as 'Streaky Bacon' and I have no idea why.

 

I was at the garden store with my dad the other day, and while he was getting out his phone he pulled out the cat's collar from his pocket. I jokingly said, "Oh no, she's running around naked."

At which point the poor employee I hadn't noticed on the other side of the display straightened up to ask "Who's running around naked?"
