I’ve always called cat paws murder mittens because they’re soft little mitts full of concealed weapons. Played with that with a cat that looked like it was doing a downward dog yoga pose. Something along the lines of “downward cat! Like a downward dog but it has more murder in the mittens!” And people liked it so much it became a thing.

today my husband moved our old refrigerator outside so the landlady can come pick it up, and it's sitting in front of Chevy's comfy window seat
he has many problems with this and has voiced ALL of them

    Local Void Upset
A local void boy is concerned by the sudden appearance of a fridge in front of his window.
Chevy, a professional cat and absolute lad, told our newsroom "Mraaah," in a statement.

One of of my Dad's cats has died from probably cancer. He'd been losing weight for a while but deteriorated fast in the last few days. His name was Stan and we don't know how old he was but they'd had him for about nine years. He loved head scritches and shed more hair than seemed physically possible. He stood up to dogs three times his size and if he thought Dad and Val had been at at the pub too long he'd wander down the road to go and fetch them.

I really miss him. I only saw him maybe once every couple of weeks and I still really miss him.

this has been a test of the emergency cat embiggening system. if this were a real emergency, puffcat would hop sideways, yell indignantly, and run away.
