i beat her (the game/AI) with less than 1000 points per category pretty much EVERY TIME. It doesn't matter what I change about my outfit or when I use the skills, we just somehow end up frustratingly even no matter what :( edit: ALL of you have higher rank than me on that, I'm laughing
I just went back to do 7-8 which is one I was stuck on as a B rank for ages. 7-7 was also horrible to me
I think the S-rank is based on the difference between your score and the AI score. @Erica have you levelled your skills yet? I tend to stick with level 5 charming/smile/critical eye - if the numbers work in your favour (because the scoring categories come out in a different order each time) you can use charming immediately out the gate, which boosts your score in the next category, then smile to boost that further, then a critical to lower the AI score, then smile again for the last category.
The line between S- and A-ranks is indeed based on how wide a margin you win by, but.... that margin varies from level to level. My skill spread is Smile, Charming, Sleep, and Crit. Smile out the gate, sleep-crit combo to avoid potential bounces, charming while I wait out the last of the cooldown, then another smile to top it off. Charming and sleep-crit could theoretically swap places depending on your priorities, but sleep should always be immediately before crit.
so many pale-skinned entries for this Praise The Sun contest like I realise all but one of the makeups are unusable on the dark skin but also cowards Spoiler: in related news
Spoiler: Current competition: Frozen How many variations on Elsa are going to be in the Top Twenty, do you think? Anyway I wasn't feeling the Disney Princess thing so I went with Jadis. Can't believe part of the White Queen set is actually useful - I nearly didn't bother with it.
Yeah I grabbed the coat because it's probably the only full coverage jacket that doesn't mesh weirdly with some of the bigger wedding dresses-- it's nice if it works out for future events!
I regret a little that I didn't go with that coat, but the Jellyfish one gave me more of a "coated in ice" look that the outfit sort of needed. I'll admit I did reference Elsa, but hopefully it's more 'tasteful homage' than anything.
I was gonna do a yuki-onna theme and then I realized p much no one would get the refrance :') Spoiler: so instead also I gotta say the number of swords I've seen is gr8
I definitely went with a "everything is dead and dying" interpretation of the theme because it was what I had clothes for Spoiler
RIP my diamonds, I left my tablet sitting on the arm of the chair and when I finished my coffee I picked it up carelessly and must have clicked through to the pavilion and the purchase 10 button. T_T
...how am I in the top 1% for this competition season? How? I don't understand this, and I keep expecting to find that I'm back where I've usually been for these competitions (which is around the 30-50% range). I don't know what's making my outfit this time so much different.
People really like your outfits? Are they different from most of the other entries? That helps sometimes, makes them stand out
And sometimes that's just how the esoteric rating feature works! I've sat solidly at 70% before, changed my earrings to reset my placement, and shot up to 2%. Competitions Are Arcane Magic.
managed to save enough diamonds to get the rarest suit in this event is an emotion and im feeling it lads
