I honestly don't ship many Gravity Falls things? Like I don't dislike any of the ships really, but the only one I actively care about is Soos/Melody (because dammit, they are precious). This is a rarity for me, as @Neurogabu can vouch.
Soos/Melody is so precious and I love them so much. but I can understand not shipping many things. I'm kind of that way with SU.
Spoiler: Roadside Attraction spoipers Fun little ep! Apparently Shit Gets Real again in the next episode, and this one was kind of a breather, but it was still a fun episode. Poor Dipper though, he needs a hug and decent advice. :( And poor Candy, too. Also, poor Soos. The spider lady was creepy as hell but I'm also arachnophobic so I may be biased? Also, @Neurogabu and I kept saying "spider people, or speople" afterwards, it was great. I didn't think it was quite as good as the past two episodes, but The Stanchurian Candidate and The Last Mabelcorn were some of the best episodes of the series so far IMO, so that's not really a patch on this one. And while I love the darker aspects of this series to bits, it's always nice to have an episode that's just kind of lighthearted and funny too.
Spoiler: new ep dipper i feel u and stan too, honestly which makes me feel pretty bad - since they were being asshole pick up artists to women - but it's true *sigh* on a happier note, candy/grenda - i ship it now!
Next episode is titled "Dipper and Mabel vs The Future" (!!!) and I think it's coming out on October 12th! On the plus side though the next SU episode is Thursday and it's supposed to be a major one, so that should tide me over until the next GF ep...
My ideal ep for that title would probably be them travelling forward to a post-apocalyptic Gravity Falls. Second most ideal would be them travelling forward to their birthday and seeing that things are not as they should be - that clip of Dipper and Mabel arguing, maybe?
Speaking of time travel, things sure didn't seem to happen in that alternate future where Mabel didn't get Waddles. Wondering if just coincidence, stuff actually did happen but just wasn't shown because Waddles or if there's seriously something up with that pig.
Mabel and the pop song Sadie sings in Steven Universe! I think it's very fitting (even if the final lines are a tad ominous...) #tad ominous #the creepiest man in gravity falls
Okay show of hands, who'd think a graphic hack of Earthbound Zero/Beginnings with Ninten, Ana, Loid and Teddy being replaced with Dipper, Wendy, Soos and Robbie, among other replace character x with y here antics would be a good idea? Spoiler (Bill would leave Earth because their singing is terrible)
There's also a vid for Stan and Sadie's song (which is Haven't You Noticed (I'm A Star), by the way.) It's, um, a little sadder than the Mabel one.
Spoiler: dipper and mabel vs the spoiler *in an exasperated tone* Ford. Ford. Fordfordfordfordfordfordford. I love you and I know you mean well but you are an egotistical fool with the emotional intelligence of a bean and I am very frustrated with you right now. I get it, man. I get it. You don't fit in, everyone thinks you're weird and you want to believe it's because you're special and destined for bigger things and they just don't get it. You're super smart and you think it makes you bigger and better than everyone else. But you're just a person and Dipper's just a person and Stan and Mabel are just people and you're all fundamentally equal. You all have strengths and weaknesses. You're all important and you all need each other. Don't fall into this trap, Ford. Don't do this to yourself. Don't do this to Dipper. Also: Aliens! That's pretty rad. Mabel should probably get a second opinion before deciding that high school will be nothing but misery and pain. If Dipper is going to become Ford's apprentice he should probably get a high school diploma first. Dipper faced down an alien death robot like a total badass (the other 12-year-old who could have pulled that off is Mabel, let's be real.) Mabel is being foolish but it's understandable. She's young and she's hurt and scared. If she'd had more time to process her feelings, things would have been okay. She and Dipper could have talked through all this and figured out how to face the future together. Unfortunately, Bill is not a fan of reasonable conflict resolution and happy endings. I am concerned for Mabel's long-term emotional well-being. (Also her physical well-being. And everyone else's. What with the end of the world and all.)
Between Rick and Morty, and this, I am very unhappy in the best way Also, sweet Flight of the Navigator reference bro
